Standings thru 3/25/2011

The standings have been updated thru the Elite 8 games and can be found HERE. And not only do we have a new leader, we have an apparent winner! On the strength of 3 Final Four teams, Brad has surged into the lead and it appears that nobody has the ability to catch him. Doug is 1 point behind, but has the exact same 3 teams left so he will remain 1 point behind Brad no matter what happens. 3rd place is still up for grabs, however. Collectively we managed to select 6 of 8 Elite 8 teams and all 4 Final Four teams. Check back next week for the final standings and some post-season analysis.

Standings thru 3/18/2012

The standings have been updated thru the first weekend of March Madness and can be found HERE. Eric is still in 1st place but his lead has shrunk and there are 5-6 entries that could possibly win this thing now. Brad, Doug and Chris lead the way with four Sweet 16 teams each, although each have the same teams remaining so Brad (currently 2nd place) is the only one who can win out of those 3. Also, Matt (currently 4th place) is the highest ranking entry to have picked UNC, so if UNC wins the title Matt has a great shot to overtake Eric. Similarly, Krissy has an outside shot if Xavier makes a run to the Final Four. Collectively, we picked 9 of the 16 teams remaining in the tournament.

Standings thru March 11th

The standings have been updated thru Selection Sunday and can be found HERE. Eric still leads, but there are several others within striking distance depending on how the tourney plays out. As those of you who have played in the past know, it is very difficult to win this pool without having the tournament champion, given how many points tournament wins are worth. Eric has an impressive 8 tournament teams, followed by Krissy with 7, and several others with 6. Collectively, we picked 30 of the 68 tournament teams in this year's field.
